TPMS Sensor Programming

It's usually the sensor, not the tire.

Every wheel has a pressure sensor inside it. When one stops reporting, the light comes on and stays on even with all four tires set correctly.

  • Sensor batteries are sealed and die at around seven to ten years. There's no charging them.
  • After a rotation or a wheel swap the system often just needs a relearn, because it no longer knows which sensor sits at which corner.
  • A second set of winter wheels needs its own sensors, and programming every time it goes on.
  • Sensors also get broken during careless mounting.

We read all four, tell you which one is actually the problem, and program the system back. If the light is on because a tire is genuinely low, the free air check sorts it in five minutes and you owe us nothing.

How we work

You get the number before we start.

Parts and labor quoted before anything gets ordered. If the price changes because we found something, you hear it before we touch it.

And you're welcome at the lift. Put your hand on the loose joint and see for yourself. Worn parts go home with you if you want them.

Worth knowing: a sway bar link is a cheap part, and a set of tires cupped by worn shocks is not. Most of what we fix gets more expensive the longer it waits.
